In Slovenly Peter, we experience children, when they are at their best: obedient, clean – and completely without scruples. The idea of the well-raised child is turned on its head, and the goody-goods’ innocent play with the adults’ rulesbecomes absurd, comic, and even (a little) frightening. Fire is played with and scissors run with, in a enlarged, charged world with equal amounts of good laughs and eye-popping chills.<\/p>\n

I Den Store Bastian oplever vi b\u00f8rn, n\u00e5r de er bedst: lydige, renlige - og fuldst\u00e6ndig uden skrupler. Ideen om det velopdragne barn vendes p\u00e5 hovedet, og duksenes uskyldige leg med de voksnes regler bliver absurd, komisk, og (lidt) skr\u00e6mmende.<\/p>
Der leges med ild og l\u00f8bes med sakse i en forst\u00f8rret, forstyrret verden, som best\u00e5r af lige m\u00e6ngder gode grin og \u00f8jenopspilende gru.<\/p>
Den Store Bastian tager udgangspunkt i den kendte billedbog af samme navn, skrevet og tegnet i 1845 af Heinrich Hoffmann som en opdragende og morsom julegave til sine b\u00f8rn. I dag har vores syn p\u00e5 opdragelse flyttet sig markant, s\u00e5 budskabet f\u00e5r en helt ny drejning, men alligevel - eller m\u00e5ske derfor - er v\u00e6rdien i Bastians historier st\u00f8rre end nogensinde. Ikke mindst underholdningsv\u00e6rdien.<\/p>
Vi f\u00f8lger Peter, en sjusket og vild dreng med ustyrlig, uredt h\u00e5r og negle, der aldrig har set en saks. Da han skal integreres i duksenes r\u00e6kker, f\u00f8rer de artige b\u00f8rn ham - og publikum - gennem Bastians billedbog, en rejse, der f\u00e5r karakter af en r\u00e6kke pr\u00f8velser som man n\u00e6ppe slipper igennem uden m\u00e9n.<\/p>
